DawnDusk DawnDusk

Privacy Policy

Updated October 2026

DawnDusk is a local-first notes app. This policy in one sentence: your notes are yours — we cannot get them.

Your notes

Everything you write is stored in a local database on your device. It is never uploaded to any server of ours (we do not run a server that stores notes). Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Anonymous analytics & crash reports

To improve the product we use Firebase Analytics (Google) and Sentry: the former only counts anonymous events like "a note was written"; the latter only uploads a crash stack trace when the app crashes. Neither ever contains any of your note content.

The Ask AI feature

When you use "Ask AI", your notes are copied to the clipboard (or saved to a local file) and received by the third-party AI app you choose (e.g. ChatGPT, DeepSeek). From that point the data is governed by that app's own privacy policy.

Your rights

Export everything to Excel or plain text from inside the app. To delete: uninstall the app, or delete notes one by one within it. Contact: support@dawndusk.fayanji.com.
